Born for Furniture

Our company, Carolina Custom Booth, is located in High Point North Carolina. We are part of the “Furniture Capital of the World”. High Point is a city located in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina — the 36th largest metro area in the United States with a population of 1.5 million. High Point is known for its furniture, textiles, and bus manufacturing. It is sometimes referred to as “North Carolina’s International City” because of the bi-annual Furniture Market which draws in about 100,000 exhibitors and buyers from around the world.

High Point is also ranked #1 on the list of “Top 101 cities with largest percentage of males and females working in industry: Furniture and home furnishings and household appliance stores (population 50,000+)”. Many of those who live in High Point have been in the furniture industry for their entire life, or at least an extended period of time. That’s why we have a wonderful staff that is knowledgeable about manufacturing furniture. They are also able to execute the manufacturing process well. Born and raised for furniture!

We like to participate in being the leading city for the furniture industry. We treat our booths as a piece of furniture, not like a wooden box. You can consider our booth just as good as a sofa. We use a special construction design which allows us to use hard wood rather than ply wood. Plywood is a wood product made out of many sheets of veneer, or plies, pressed together and glued with their grains going in opposite directions. This is generally not as aesthetically pleasing as solid wood. Other manufacturers choose to use plywood because of cost; it tends to be available at a lower cost.  But we choose to use hard wood because it makes for a better looking, longer lasting, and more durable end product.
