Introducing “Olde Barn” Table Tops- New from CCB!

(Ruby Ann- Product Model, CCB Mascot, & “Top Dog”)

Introducing CCB’s Brand New…….

“Old Barn” Series

1.75″ Random Plank Solid Poplar Wood Table Tops

The attraction to natural materials, textures, aged finishes and surfaces continues to be strong in today’s market. Whether used to achieve reclaimed, vintage, or rustic looks or to create high contrast with sleek new modern decor, CCB is excited to introduce another New Table Collection to address the design world.

Weathered and distressed products have a functional aspect when used in commercial and hospitality spaces. They can look even more authentic and worn over time with daily use.

CCB’s “Olde Barn” Series is constructed out of random width and varying thicknesses of solid Poplar wood planks including natural saw and planar markings to result in slightly uneven surfaces to create the illusion of product produced out of “reclaimed” materials such as aged wood pallets or rough barn siding.

Please contact your CCB Sales Representative to see their sales panel in person.

We hope that this gives you one more reason to support “Manufacturing in the USA!”

(Standard in “Olde Barn” Distressing.

Recommended in CCB’s “Vintage” Stain Finish as shown*.)

There will be variation in each wood top due to the individual & natural characteristics of each wood plank.

*Custom to match stains not available. Vast shades of color variation will occur.

Craftsmanship & Artistry – Canon & Draw Brewing Co.

We love to share projects where the end user has the same philosophy as CCB.

Canon & Draw Brewing Co. located in Richmond, VA in the historic fan district prides itself on the “craftsmanship and artistry” of their beers. They have created an environment for their customers to pause and savor life.
At CCB, we pride ourselves in crafting our handmade products in the USA for the enjoyment and longevity of use by others.  We have our own building blocks and just like the basis of craft beers that we use to re-invent and create product for each new project.
For this project the CCB “Shop Special” was the basis with a few custom options to create this look.
 CCB’s “Shop Special” series- modified
  • Wood Top Caps & End Panels- added
  • Diamond Tufted ISB (inside back) – added
  • Wood OSB (outside back) – added
  • Uph 1 Piece “Big Seat”
“U” Shaped Booths were ganged together with shared top caps and end panels to create a unified look for all 3 of the banquettes.
Thank you to Campfire & Co. and our CCB Sales Representative, Jim Hoffman for the opportunity to be a part of this project.

Banquette Seating inspired by Chesterfield – SW Clyborne

The Chesterfield sofa is quite an icon of the furniture design world. The story goes that the origin may date back to the 1700’s to Lord Phillip Stanhope, the fourth Earl of Chesterfield. The Earl wished to have a piece of furniture to sit up very straight, in the upmost comfort, and not crease ones garments as they sat. With those concepts in mind, he commissioned a local crafts person and the furniture style and name was born.

CCB produced a custom banquette inspired by a “Chesterfield” sofa for
SW Clyborne Co. located in Mason, OH including all of the classic details: wide roll over back and arms, diamond tufting, loose seat cushions, and wooden legs. Bolsters were specified to create dividers in the seating areas.

Other areas of the restaurant included bar height and dining height banquettes based on CCB’s “Designer Special” series modified with vertical channel uph and was produced in long wall benches, “U” shaped, and 3/4 rounds.

How’s that for being inspired by furniture history?

Thank you to C & T Design & Equipment and to our CCB Sales Representative, Warren Dorn for the opportunity to be a part of this project.

“CCB’s Playing with Fire”- New Product Intro.

We are always working to develop new product lines that will entice our customers and will capture the design and and style trends.
CCB’s playing with Fire- “Charred Ash”…………….

We have pulled our inspiration from:
  • Charred wood barrels used for the distilling of whiskey & wine
  • “Shou-Sugi-Ban”- a style of fire finishing technique used in Japanese Architecture
  • The use of natural materials with a sensitivity to elements & their environment
  • Capturing rustic & industrial looks

We are excited to introduce a New Wood Table Top:

CCB’s “Charred Ash” Solid Wood Table Tops
CCB’s Charred Wood Table Tops are made of random plank solid Ash in a 1.25″ thickness.  A flame and heat source are applied to the wood tops to  create a darkening and burnishing effect that emphasizes the grain of the Ash wood.  After this “Charring” process, a high solids catalyzed conversion varnish is applied to preserve the transformed look of the wood.

CCB’s “Charred Ash” is a light to medium technique which emphasizes and darkens
the Natural Grain Patterns while still maintaining the lighter appearance of the solid Ash wood.

There will be some variation on each table top due to the individual wood plank characteristics as well as the charring process which will be applied by hand at CCB.

Please contact your CCB Sales Representative to see their sales panel in person.

We hope that this will light a “FIRE” to your Projects!

Seating that we think will “Strike a Chord” at Arpeggio’s

Just likes the musical notes of a chord played in succession, we take the building blocks and components of our seating styles and produce with repetition or can create alternate versions.

  • Varying back heights
  • Crumb detail- omitted
  • Stained wood base added
  • Custom stain color
CCB’s banquettes were utilized in a waiting area, by a fireplace as well as in the main dining area.

Get the “Gang” together at Scene 75- Cleveland or Philadelphia

Here’s another example of how CCB product is
“More than just Restaurant Booths.”
Take a look at product produced for Scene 75 Entertainment Centers located in Cleveland, OH and Pittsburgh, PA which includes gaming areas for all ages as well as bowling, laser tag, go-karts, bumper cars, mini- golf, and more.
If your group is large or small CCB has tables that can “gang” together to make longer tops which can be pulled back apart for smaller groups.  The ganging devices attached underneath can be locked or un-locked.  (See photos where tops have been turned upside down only for the purposes of illustrating the mechanism.)  This allows for better table edge alignment.
CCB’s “Farmhouse” Multi-Species Random Plank Wood Top 1.75″ thickness in CCB Vintage with Heavy Distressing was used for the table tops.
The Cleveland location also has CCB’s “Farmhouse” Series Boothsmodified with a wood seat.
Thank you to Queen City Restaurant Supply and our CCB Sales Representatives, Jay Dickinson and Warren Dorn to be a part of these projects.
So don’t let our company name mislead you…..  You never know where CCB’s product may turn up next.  Let the fun begin!

Big Star- CCB’s Table Tops can make your project Shine!

Here is a little CCB Table 101.
CCB’s Standard Table Top Coat:
A High Solids Catalyzed Conversion Varnish, a non-yellowing formula in a satin finish with durability against moisture, heat and most household chemicals.
But did you know that you can opt for an alternate top coat finish?

CCB’s Premium Table Top Coat:
A Polyester Sealer with a “Poured Look” in a gloss finish which has durable properties. This type Sealer is known to be used by most major yacht manufacturers for the boat interiors.
Big Star, “A Honky Tonk Taco Joint,” Located at Wrigleyville in Chicago, IL is a perfect example of this CCB Premium Finish Option which was applied to CCB’s Random Plank Solid Ash Table Tops with a 1.25″ thickness and stained in a custom color.
We hope you will agree that this high gloss look makes this project shine and may even be a reference to the glossy baseball bats in close proximity.
Thank you to Chas Bender Co. and to our CCB Sales Representative, Paul Johnopolos for the opportunity to be a part of this project.
