Amy Morton’s Newest Restaurant!

“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” – Dr. Suess

“There comes a time when the only thing that helps is a glass of champagne”- Betty Davis

“If you can afford to eat here you can afford to wear anything you want”- Arnie Morton

Just a few of the quotes painted on the ceiling at Amy Morton’s newest restaurant, Stolp Island Social located in Aurora, IL which are intended to spark conversation.

You might recognize the Morton name from the generations of this family that have been dedicated to the art of food and hospitality including Morton’s Steakhouse and many other fine dining venues.

CCB’s product was well curated with banquette and table configurations designed to suite each area of the space.  Similar to the menus and the chefs selected by the Morton family.

CCB’s “Metropolitan” and CCB’s “Designer Special” series were modified and used to create these seating configurations.  CCB’s Random Plank Solid Ash Wood Table tops in CCB Driftwood stain was also used.

Thank you to Amy Morton, Henry’s Contract Seating, and our CCB Sales Representative, Paul Johnopolos for the opportunity to be a part of this project.

Sitting at Work might not be so bad?- Unipress USA

CCB introduced a lot of new product in 2019.  One of these items is the CAS-006 (Common Area Seating.)

We are excited to share a recent project produced for Unipres USA, a global corporation that produces pressed parts for the automobile industry and has a large facility in Portland, TN.

The concept for this seating is to be utilized in public spaces. It’s seating with an occasional table surface built as one. The design has a modern to mid-century flair.

Originally introduced as a “sofa” or multiple person seating, we produced “chair” versions for this project.

Units with standard electrical and USB hook ups were included for the convenience of those using the seating. Electrical/ USB units can be integrated into most of our products. Just ask us how.

Thank you to FG Schaefer and our CCB Sales Representatives, Jay Dickinson and Warren Dorn for the opportunity to be a part of this project and to share with you the results of part of our new product line.

Did you know CCB’s “Got your Back” but we have more?

CCB’s known for it’s booth and banquette seating, but did you know the options don’t stop there?

We have a standard product line of “backless benches” and in most cases we can take a booth and build a companion piece in a bench format?

Take for example this project called Blackbird Eatery in Cincinnati, Ohio.

CCB’s “Designer Special” series was modified for the banquette seating with diamond tufting, upholstered end panels, and wood legs added.

A backless waiting bench, CCB’s WB-002 waiting bench was produced with wood legs to match the banquette seating. Some of our waiting benches can also be used as the basis for ottomans as well………. Got you thinking?

Even PayPal has CCB!

We are always excite to share photos of CCB product in its final location and to share the range of locations where our product ends up.

A CCB banquette recently was delivered to Paypal Corporate Headquarters in Lutherville, MD.

We try our best to make each and every project worry free for you and your customer……..

That includes purchasing upholstery materials as a part of the project or you can opt for COM upholstery by providing “Customer’s Own Materials” like the PayPal project.

We provide shop drawings to verify the dimensions, style details, upholstery, and finish locations/ placement.  Did you know our shop drawings even show where the sections of a long banquette will be divided?  This allows you to verify if this will work with other furniture placement, check building access points, and in the case of this project it allowed the end user to verify the fit in their elevators.

And of course don’t forget if you choose our delivery service, we ensure that the product is handled properly, assembled, and set in place!

Thank you to Millennium Seating and to Jeff Wells for the opportunity to be a part of this project.

You never know where we will share that CCB product is next!

Craftsmanship & Artistry – Canon & Draw Brewing Co.

We love to share projects where the end user has the same philosophy as CCB.

Canon & Draw Brewing Co. located in Richmond, VA in the historic fan district prides itself on the “craftsmanship and artistry” of their beers. They have created an environment for their customers to pause and savor life.
At CCB, we pride ourselves in crafting our handmade products in the USA for the enjoyment and longevity of use by others.  We have our own building blocks and just like the basis of craft beers that we use to re-invent and create product for each new project.
For this project the CCB “Shop Special” was the basis with a few custom options to create this look.
 CCB’s “Shop Special” series- modified
  • Wood Top Caps & End Panels- added
  • Diamond Tufted ISB (inside back) – added
  • Wood OSB (outside back) – added
  • Uph 1 Piece “Big Seat”
“U” Shaped Booths were ganged together with shared top caps and end panels to create a unified look for all 3 of the banquettes.

Banquette Seating inspired by Chesterfield – SW Clyborne

The Chesterfield sofa is quite an icon of the furniture design world. The story goes that the origin may date back to the 1700’s to Lord Phillip Stanhope, the fourth Earl of Chesterfield. The Earl wished to have a piece of furniture to sit up very straight, in the upmost comfort, and not crease ones garments as they sat. With those concepts in mind, he commissioned a local crafts person and the furniture style and name was born.

CCB produced a custom banquette inspired by a “Chesterfield” sofa for
SW Clyborne Co. located in Mason, OH including all of the classic details: wide roll over back and arms, diamond tufting, loose seat cushions, and wooden legs. Bolsters were specified to create dividers in the seating areas.

Other areas of the restaurant included bar height and dining height banquettes based on CCB’s “Designer Special” series modified with vertical channel uph and was produced in long wall benches, “U” shaped, and 3/4 rounds.

How’s that for being inspired by furniture history?

Thank you to C & T Design & Equipment and to our CCB Sales Representative, Warren Dorn for the opportunity to be a part of this project.
Let us know how we can be a part of your next hospitality project.
