It’s All in the Details- CCB’s Nail Head Trim Info

Tis the season to be festive and decorate so what better time than to update you on some of the “trimmings” that CCB has to offer.

CCB has nail head trim to add that extra detail to your seating. Our nail head trim can be applied to most upholstered product. Most often this is used below the seat or to highlight an inside back or an arm detail.

CCB’s nail head trim is offered in 2 sizes (small 7/16″ dia. and large 15/16″ dia.) You can see examples on our standard product line:

A Country Club Project that might just “Bowl” you over!

You never know where CCB product might show up next.

CCB product is being used in more different types of commercial and hospitality projects, but take a look at this Bowling Alley at The Country Club of Detroit located in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI.

CCB banquette seating was customized to create seating along the perimeter of the lanes. (Stained wood top caps, end panels, and bases combined with a vertical channel uph detail and a custom stain color.)

CCB’s Solid Ash Butcher Block Table Tops were also used in the custom stain color.

The results being a rich upscale look for this country club with a bowling space.

CCB’s “Designer Special” series goes “L” shaped and the “length” of the lobby and breakfast area of Best Western Plus in Winston-Salem, NC.

Plain uph ISB (inside back)
OSB (outside back) uph in vinyl
Roll over top & wrapped end detail
1 piece uph “big” seat
Enclosed base- black ABS

The clean and simple lines of this banquette can be used in virtually any style of space- modern, transitional, and even traditional. The uph selections on this project are quite striking!

Seating – Living, Common Areas, & Dining at The Phoenix

At CCB “We are More than Just Restaurant Booths.”

Take a look at seating produced for 3 areas of The Phoenix Senior Living Community located in Delray Beach, FL.

A large “L” shaped sectional piece was constructed with track arms, tight uph back and seat, & with low square wood legs. This piece allows for maximized seating in a living room area for TV viewing or for residents to visit.

A large accent seating piece (A CCB “Top Hat” – modified) was produced to be used in a common area. This piece allows for seating all the way around. It was constructed to have a wood filler scribe-ed to a column by others once on site and to have “arms” to divide the unit into sections.

CCB’s “Designer Special“- modified was used as the basis for a long wall banquette in a dining area. Wood legs and a recessed wood base were added.

Farmland to Elegant Country Club at Blythefield

Blythefield in Old English means “quiet fields.”

Blythefield Country Club which is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan was settled and originally used as farmland, later became the location of a country villa, and then became a golf and country club. This serene setting has traditional elements with a modern flair.

CCB‘s “Statesville” series was upholstered in a striking stripe with a complimentary solid upholstery for the seat and frame. CCB’s Walnut finish and a large natural finish nail head trim detail completes this classic look.

CCB’s WB-011 Waiting Benches were also produced for this project and mimic some of the same details, but with a narrow wood frame and clean tapered wood legs to create refined seating in the foyer area.

H – In the “Heart” of Wolfpack Country

H Street Kitchen is located in the “Heart” of Wolfpack country and North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. The location was a movie theater years ago but has be retro-fitted to accommodate multi-level dining.

CCB’s banquette seating and tables were utilized for this project.

Custom wall banquettes– uph ISB with a headroll detail, an uph seat & frame below, custom shaped uph arms, and tapered wood legs.

CCB‘s “Designer Special” series was modified for single & double booths- narrow horizontal channel ISB, wood top cap and end panels in a custom stain color, an uph “big seat”, and an enclosed ABS base.

CCB’s table tops were produced in solid wood Ash random plank tops with a 1.75″ thickness. Tables stained in custom colors.

No matter what college or university team has your “heart,” we think this location is worth cheering about.

An Urban Vibe at Square 22

Take a look at the Modern Industrial Decor which brings an “Urban Vibe” to Square 22 Restaurant & Bar located in Strongsville, OH.

CCB’s “Designer Special” series was utilized with a plain uph ISB (inside back) for long wall benches and with a biscuit tufted uph detail for the other seating configurations. A shaped uph end panel was added to finish the look at the end of the seating.

From Concept to Completion- The Tidewater Inn

There is nothing more satisfying than seeing our customer’s design vision come to completion!

This week we are featuring product for The Tidewater Inn, a historic luxury bed and breakfast located in Easton, MD.

Custom product was produced based on concept images which included 2 banquettes with custom uph arms, ISB and seats with tight upholstery and welted detail, wood legs & stretchers as well as 2 curved backless benches with a tufted seat cushion and tapered wooden legs.

CCB’s Appalachian Series from Modern to Classic Traditional

In recent weeks we featured a project based on CCB‘s “Appalachian” series used in a recreation area at an Apartment Community w/ a plain uph inside back and produced as a long wall bench. (See image of the West River Apartments below.)

So this week we thought we would illustrate how you can take a CCB style and create multiple looks. From the sleek modern look at West River Apartments to a classic traditional style at Angelina’s Pizza, Pasta, & More located in Odenton, MD.

CCB’s Appalachian was produced in single and double booths and with the addition of a “double diamond” tufted ISB uph detail. (Double diamond is the use of 2 complete rows of stacked diamonds. Typical diamond tufting will have the diamonds offset and not complete diamonds stacked above each other.)

This week we are featuring seating, table tops, and table bases produced for Homewood Suites located in Worthington (Columbus,) Ohio.

Seating:

Banquette style seating constructed with a laminate and wood divider
Custom low back heights
Custom depths- overall and seating
Plain uph ISB’s w/ loose bolster pillows
Uph sinuous spring seats
Wood frame and legs with an enclosed wood base (custom stain color)
Uph frame and Black ABS base on the other side
Cut outs provided in the laminate and wood divider for electrical or data access (added and wired by others once on site)

Table Tops (Wood in 2 CCB Styles):

Multi- Species wood tops 1.75″ thickness in CCB Vintage stain with heavy “Farmhouse” distressing (round table tops)

Random Plank Ash wood tops 1.25″ thickness in CCB Black stain
(rectangular tops used with CCB’s Wood Column Bases)

Table Bases:

CCB’s Wood Column Base WCB-004, a turned wood column in a bamboo detail (A CCB exclusive) in CCB Black stain paired with a black metal disk base and spider for attachment.
