It’s All in the Details- CCB’s Nail Head Trim Info

Every detail counts when it comes to CCB’s seating so new info has been added to the CCB website!!!!!

Under “Finishes,”  we have added a Nail Head Trim section to show the finishes available.  Sizes of the nails will be determined based on the booth style or the location on the seating.  (See the clickable links below with screenshots of new web pages)

The Photo Library also has a new folder that was added a while back with project examples with use of nail head trim.

European Tavern in Arlington

This week we are featuring bar and dining height seating produced for
Park Lane Tavern in Arlington, VA.

CCB’s “Charlotte” Series was modified to meet great heights (bar height seating and overall height) with an enclosed wood base with tread and a wood top cap added.

CCB’s “Greensboro” Series was modified for the dining height seating areas with an enclosed wood base and customized with seating depths.

All of the seating as well as the 1.75″ thick Ash Random Plank Table Tops received a custom stain color to complete this “European Tavern” look.

Thank you to C & T Design and Equipment and to our CCB Sales Representatives, Jay Dickinson and Warren Dorn for the opportunity to be a part of this project.

Let us know how we can assist you with seating and tables for your next project.

CCB goes to the Office- Genscape

Genscape located in Louisville, KY provides data and analysis for global commodity & energy markets.

So it is quite fitting that an orange toned upholstery was selected for this office project.

The hues of orange located on the color wheel between red (a color of energy) and yellow (a color of happiness) are believed to have these characteristics:

  • Increases oxygen supply to the brain
  • Stimulates mental activity & productivity
  • Encourages communication
  • Aids in decision making
  • Promotes confidence & understanding
  • Associated with health and well being
  • More neutral oranges have a feeling of being more grounded & “earthy”

CCB’s “Designer Special” was modified to create this office seating:

  • Produced in 2 different seating heights (18″H and Counter Height)
  • ISB with vertical channel uph detail
  • Uph Seat w/ nail head trim
  • Low tapered wood legs
  • CCB Walnut stain

Thank you to L.W.H. Design and our CCB Sales Representatives, Jay Dickinson and Warren Dorn for the opportunity to be a part of this project.

CCB’s Shaping up!

19372ea5-20c4-42d2-967d-fb9d9f892d13

Have you ever wondered how CCB is able to produce freestanding custom shapes as well as those built to align with shaped walls? Or custom shaped tables?

Yes, we have an incredible team of skilled people at CCB, but it’s also about precision and having the tools and equipment to be successful.

CNC Router

(Computer Numerical Control)

A computer that converts the design produced by Computer Aided Design (CAD) software into numbers.  The numbers map out the coordinates in a graph which controls the movement of the cutter.

CCB is excited to announce that we have purchased our 3rd CNC Router which will expand our current Router Department.

We hope to have it up and running soon to help increase the efficiencies in our manufacturing process.  See more photos of our “New Toy” below.

“Lighten Up”- For this Furniture Trend

Did you know that the trend towards using lighter colored wood finishes is transitioning more over to commercial and hospitality furnishings?

This look has been greatly influenced by the popularity of “Scandinavian Modern” looks marketed by Ikea and other companies that have tapped into simplicity, minimalism, and functionality.

Lighter wood finishes not only provide a neutral look, they allow for the natural grain of the wood to be emphasized, and  ultimately they show less scratching and wear over time.

Here are 2 CCB projects that are examples of “Lightening It Up”  with stain finishes.

CCB Community Tables produced for The Lake Club in Youngstown, OH.

CCB “Greensboro” Series seating produced for Genji Go Restaurant in Gahanna, OH.

Reclaimed at Chester Brunnenmeyer’s

The “Reclaimed” look has boomed in our industry and we don’t see this trend winding down any time soon.

Chester Brunnenmeyer’s Bar & Grill in Blue Ridge, GA is an excellent example.  Considered a “Rustic American Bar & Grill”  its location is deep with history so what better way to reflect this than in the current interior elements.

CCB’s “Multi-Species Wood Farmhouse” tops were produced in CCB’s Vintage Stain and in our heavy “Farmhouse” distressing and utilized as tables as well as the bar top.

CCB’s “Greensboro” Series seating with some modifications was also used to achieve this look.

  • Custom Height

  • Uph Crumb Rail added

  • Enclosed Wood Base added

  • Custom Stain Color

The vinyl selected has the look of a woven leather texture paired with the standard bead board elements of the CCB Greensboro completed this look.

Thank you to Edward Don and our CCB Sales Representative, Jeff Wells for the opportunity to be a part of this project.
